| Create Transitions Transitions are stylized effects used to dissolve from one
clip to the next. You may create a transitional movie between two still images
or blank frames of the same size using directional variations of four effects.
You can create transitions between clips that are loaded
into the project module or you can open the transition module.
From the Project module you can call the transition wizard
by right clicking on the file in the movie list or clicking the transition
button.

Select the effect, set the time, then click the Add
Transition button. The new transition will be added to the movie list before
(into) or after (out of) the selected clip.

Transition Module
Often times the first and last frame of a movie are blank
or black screens which will produce no useful transitions from the project
module. In such cases a custom transition can be built using the transition
module. For use in your transitions, you can extract any frame using the
Audio/Video Extractor.
Unlike temporary transitions created in the project
editor, transitions created in the Transition module are stand alone
movies which can be used in additional projects. To create your transition from the Transition module,
choose a starting and ending frame or a blank color. If you choose a movie the
last frame will be selected for the start picture and the first for the end
picture.

If your start and end frames are of different
dimensions you can resize either to match the other by clicking the Resize
button on the image that you wish to resize.

The process of creating your transition movie
requires two steps.
Step one
creates a transition image sequence.

The image sequence is saved to a sub folder
called temp\transition and noted in the text area as represented below.

You can set the default name for the image
sequence by entering it in the appropriate text box.

You may open, edit or save the static frames
which are saved to the temp\transition folder during the Fx MPEG Suite session.
All temp files are deleted at the start of any new session.

You can step through the transition animation
sequence manually by dragging the slider from left to right.

Step two creates a transition movie from
the image sequence.

Specify the output format and type, a file
name and the TV standard.
